Maureen Veronica Kelly was born on the 6th May 1929. Maureen brought up 7 children, Jenny, Pauline, Tony, Kevin, Philip, Donna & Joseph, she had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maureen was a well respected woman who lived in the Huyton area of Liverpool, she dedicated most of her time to the community especially the children!! Maureen would do anything to make her community a better place to live, she died on the 1st September 2004 the cause of her death was secondary cancer that had spread from her lungs to her bones, this left her family, friends and everyone in the area devastated as it was like loosing a limb!! Because of all the work she did for the community some of the people she voluntry worked with opened up a garden which was made for Maureen, they had a rose tree planted which was called Simply The Best, not only was this because it was the name of her favourite song but everyone believed Maureen was 'Simply The Best'.

Missing you so much nan not a day has gone by without me hoping you were here, i got my exam results on 23rd August and i believe i would of made you proud i passed all my exams with B & C grades! My little brother Aaron is always asking about you because he only knew you for 5 months, its coming up to your anniversary now 3 yrs youve been gone, some days i sit and think I wish you was here with me! Forever in my thoughts nan I love u more than words can say
